One important aspect of faith in Christ is allowing it to develop. It is applying the teachings of the Bible and the mentorship of church leaders and teachers, and applying to everyday situations. However, the development of faith can come to a stop after one graduates high school. It is due from several factors such as peer influence, media influence, and shelving faith away during college. This project explores how one can continue to develop their faith after high school, and continue maintaining a relationship with Christ.
The driving question of the project was:
"How can we continue to develop our faith after high school?"
From this question, our group developed fifteen auxiliary questions to further answer the driving question. The fifteen questions were:
1. How can you manage your time/ schedule around God?
2.How can you reassure daily that God is a priority in your life?
3.How can you make sure people around you are helping your faith grow?
4.If they aren't,how do you find people who will?
5.How can you implement gospel/ scripture in your daily routine?
6. How would you tell others about your faith in God?
7. If there are some questions you have about your faith, how can you answer them?
8. What are some resources you can use to strengthen your faith in God?
9. How would you handle opposition to your faith?
10. How do you plan on serving your church in college?
11. How can you spread Gospel in your community?
12. How can you defend your faith?
13. How can you engage in service to others?
14. How do you find Christian fellowship in new environment?
15. How can you overcome the peer pressure of leaving behind faith?
SUMMARY OF PURPOSE: The purpose for this project was to discover different ways in which we could help our faith grow after we graduate high school. Along with this main focus, it also helped prepare us for college level research where we need to use other questions when researching one single topic. Not only were we able to learn new types of way to research, it also taught us how to organize the information we gathered. The main purpose for this project was to help us find ways in which we can strengthen our faith when we leave this school so that we are prepared for what we may face in the future. With what we found on helping us with our faith, we can also help others with the information we discovered. This project not only helps our researching and organizing skills, it helps prepare us and our faith for what we may run into along with assisting others in their faith walk.
